I have a small family run hotel in the heart of the Peak District. I'm an avid skier and have completed a number of instructor courses and ski leading courses. I have a son that was heavily involved in the ski racing world and skied for many teams in the uk and Austria being based in Austria for 5 consecutive season, so I have first had knowledge of the cost of putting your child through intensive training programs both home and abroad.
I came up with the initial idea of the WSF but soon realised it needed more I put so with myself and Adam and a number of professionals we eventually constructed a charity that works and really helps the parents of our young wither sports athletes.
I was relatively late coming to the winter sports world as it was Elliott that got me into Skiing in the first instance when I was about 21 years old. I was a swimmer and Triathlete to an international level when I was younger.
My main job is a Financial Planner and Wealth Manager dealing with clients Investment and Pension needs as well as protection and tax issues so I have a good grasp on Tax and the benefits around which the charity can offer. I am also a retained firefighter in the small village where I work called Hathersage in the beautiful Peak District.
Outside of work I enjoy keeping fit (although I’m nothing like I used to be) by cycling, running going to the Gym and I love a good movie!
